Rose Water Uses | Top 7

Hi Guys!

I am back with a new post today. I will be talking about the various rose water uses in this post. Rose Water has been an indispensible part of beauty since ancient times. In earlier days, queens and princesses would take bath in milk with rose petals spread all over. The form of usng that rose petals has now chnged to a more convenient form of rose water in bottles. Some females like to make their own rose water at home by grinding rose petals whereas most of the other like to purchase it off the counter shelves.

In this post I will be listing out the top 7 rose water uses that you can incorporate in your daily lives. Personally I have used them all and a bottle of rose water s an essential in my vanity from a long long time.

Various Rose Water Uses

In this video  I have talked about the rose water uses that have proven effective in my beauty routine.

  1. Rose water lightens tans. Just 2 tablespoons of tomato juice mixed with an equal amount of rosewater when applied to the face for 15 minutes and washed off, fades tans and eases stinging sunburns.
  2. Rose water helps maintain the pH balance of the skin. If you have dry skin, add a dash of glycerine to rosewater and you will have a natural moisturiser. If you have oily skin, add a pinch of camphor to rose water and the surface oiliness will reduce.
  3.  A herbal face pack comprising sandalwood powder and rosewater, when applied to the face for 15 minutes and washed off with cold water, cures all pimple problems.
  4. Rose water also acts as a toner that tightens pores and helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Its antioxidants regenerate skin tissues while stimulating circulation.
  5. Rose water is a great cleanser. Soak a cotton ball in rosewater and wipe your face with this. All traces of dirt and grim and even makeup will disappear.
  6. Rose water is best known for its soothing, cooling effects. Splash of bowl of rosewater across your face in the morning and you will feel refreshed.
  7. Finally given its aroma, rosewater has a soothing effect on the nerves, relieves stress and acts as an anti-depressent.

These were my top uses with rose water. Do you any other wys in which rose water can be incorprorated in the beauty regime. I would love to hear from you.

Until next time,bye bye!!

  1. That’s amazing. Didn’t know that rose water had so many uses that also such important ones. I used to apply the herbal face pack before for my acne/pimple. I took multani mitti and mixed it with rose water to make a thick paste and applied it. I did it once or twice a week. It worked wonderfully and was a quite refreshing the way it energized and cleaned the skin and made the facial muscles feel afterwards.
I didn’t know rose water takes care of tan also. Going to give that a try. By the way, what would you recommend – making fresh rose water at home or getting a packaged one? I think packaged one may not be completely natural, it will come with some preservative or chemicals right? unless rose water has a naturally long shelf life.

  2. I should begin using rose water for my skin, does it make the skin tone even and get rid of dark spots?
Can we make our own rose water? very well written and would love to know more

  3. I am a big fan of rosewater too- I also use a splash of it daily on the underarms to keep them clear and clean – any dark patches, rashes, irritations, etc all vanish. And With sandalwood, I add multani mitti too – its a great face cleanser pack as well as tightening one.
Loved your article and I shall stay tuned for more fashion n beauty info as I serveryly lack in it.
    cheers

  4. Shakespeare wrote some of his most famous lines referring to it! Cleopatra was believed to have used it as a part of her beauty regime, and for generations, rose has been used by women across the world to enhance their beauty. Rose, or rosewater, is one of the most amazing ingredients that you can include in your skin care routine. It helps soften your skin and gives it a natural, healthy glow.I use it regularly.
