Top 5 Red Lipsticks for Indian Skintone!

I am back with a new post today where I share my top 5 red lipsticks suitable for Indian skintones.We all love wearing a red lipstick no matter if its a date night, a wedding ceremony or any occasion where we would want our makeup to stand out and make a statement.I cannot agree more on the fact that a red lipstick definitely comes across as a showstopper without putting much effort into your makeup.The problems that we Indians come across while finding a Red thats made for us is that most of them either make the skin look tanned/ashy or the teeth yellow.

Today I will be sharing with you some of my favourite red lipsticks from my vanity which suit an average Indian wheatish skintone (and Yes,all you fair skinned ladies these shall look equally good on you as well).

1.Chambor Powder Matte Rubis Rouge

This is my most favourite pick from the list,hence on number 1 position.It sets powder matte on the lips,is affordable and a blue red which looks exceptionally good on my skin.This one retails for INR 595 and is my first pick when I am unable to decide what lipstick to pair with my winged liner.Chambor never disappoints in the lipstick department.

2.NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil -Dragon Girl

I would describe this colour as a more mature red.When I got hold of it first,my mom wasnt really happy to see this colour on me.According to her,it will look better on ladies in the their 30s and 40s.Ofcourse it will,but I love to use this one for its ease of application and colour payoff.Most of the times I apply it as a sheer was of colour to give a hitn of tint on my lips.I got this from strawberrynet.com fro INR 1900.

3.Loreal Lincoln Rose

This particular shade from the Moist Mat range of Loreal lipsticks rose to fame when Aishwarys Rai wore it at the Cannes Film festival,two years back.Suddenly everyone was raving and praising this shade of red and I thought I had to give it a try.And Oh! Boy,I have been a fan of it ever since I applied it first on my lips.It glides like a dream and has such a beautiful semi mat finish on the lips.This will look good on everybody. 😀

4.Clinique Poppy Pop

This Poppy Orange Red colour from the house of Clinique is a sheer glossy red that seems like a hybrid between a gloss and a lipstick.Perfect for the ones who do not like a matte lip look on their lips.This applies sheer even after a few coats so if you have some pigmentation on the lips,make sure to apply a lip liner before its application to give an even finish.

5.the Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Liquid Lipstick-Devoted

Seeing the number of the Balm things I share on this blog,some of you might wonder if they have hired me to write such things for them.But these guys make such amazing products,that you cant stop praising.I wanted to own a liquid lipstick in Red and trying one from ym favourite brand was the safest bet and I wasnt disappointed a bit.It settles satin matte on the lips and makes them feel painted but comfortably.I have reviewed a pink from the range earlier on the blog here
