The Anarkali Rage

IMG_1527

Hi everyone!

This is the first post on my blog and what better way to start than a traditional festive look.As Indians,we have all grown with wearing our Mom’s dupattas as little children and playing dress up never really stops after that.

Pink Anarkali

Anarkalis have been the IN thing for the past couple of seasons and the rage for floor length anarkalis is not fading away anytime soon, atleast in the Big Fat Indian Weddings we get to see.Short,Tall,Skinny,Curvy there is a perfect anarkali for every body type and so it is the most popular form of Indian ensemble in every age group these days.I,persoanlly,am on the skinnier side and Anarkalis look great on my body type too.

Love the Floral Work on Dupatta

Coming to this look, here I am donning a Pink floor length anarkali with Silver pointed Toe flats. The length of the kurta fell perfectly onto my ankles,so I did not feel the need to emphasize more on length by adding heels.Flats are a welcoming change for such looks.

Anarkali: Local Boutique ,Flats :Zara,Bracelet :Forever 21

Also the Gold in the Dress and Silver on my flats blend seemlessly well which proves another point that YES,you can wear Gold and Silver together.Since the dupatta has a heavy embroidery,I accessorized my dress with square shaped geometric earrings and layered bracelets.

Do let me know how did you find this post and my styling.

Until next time!Bye Bye πŸ™‚
