Maybelline Superstay Lumi Matte Foundation Review on Indian Skin

So I have combination oily skin so I am always looking for a foundation that sets matte but makes my skin looking glowing from within without that oily look. Of course you can achieve that look using multiple products in your routine but let’s be honest we do not have a lot of time on an everyday basis to apply multiple products in the mornings.
So when I saw the new Maybelline Super Stay Lumi-Matte Foundation launch I was more than excited to give it a try. It has a very innovative formula that delivers 30 hours of long wear with a unique lumi-matte finish. What that means is, it has micro-pearls and amino acids which give a matte look with a soft, luminous glow peeking through – basically a matte foundation that still looks like skin!
I was like this sounds like my ideal everyday foundation because it’s not too matte nor is it so dewy that my skin starts looking oily.

Maybelline, we all know, is known for their cult-favorite foundations, and this sleek, embossed bottle in so many different shades definitely looks promising. In fact I shared a story the other day on Instagram saying that maybelline has a new foundation launch and you guys were just so excited to hear the news. I can understand because I find their foundations a staple in my vanity too.
Coming to the new lumi-matte foundation, the packaging, the soft mauve lilac Color of the cap and the shape look so aesthetic and the embossing on the side, makes it look so elegant and luxurious. The feel of the bottle is super chic.
They have an impressive 10 shades in this line, which is great for finding your perfect match. I’m going to swatch a few on my arm to give you a look at the undertones.

As you can see, the formula has a gorgeous soft matte finish, even in these arm swatches. Let me also swatch my 3 best matches on my cheek so you can see how it looks on my skin tone. Shade 310 seems like my perfect match.

To apply it, I’m going to use my kabuki brush and build up the coverage from a light layer to full on just one side of my face. This will allow you to really see the difference the foundation makes.

Look how naturally matte yet glowing that finish is! It has a very light wear, almost Light-As-Air feel.The coverage is buildable full, but doesn’t look heavy or cakey at all. You can really see the difference between the two sides of my face.
But the real test is going to be how long this wears throughout a full, active day. I’m going to go run errands, work out, be out in the sun – really put this 30-hour longwear, transfer proof, sweat proof, waterproof claim to the test. I’ll check back in periodically to show you how it’s holding up.

As you can see, no matter what I put it through – sweat, sun, oils, touch-ups – this foundation stayed matte yet radiant all day long! The coverage lasted from morning until tonight with no breakdown.

After wearing the Maybelline Super Stay Lumi-Matte Foundation for a full 8-10 hours, I’m super impressed! It truly lives up to the claims of being a long-wearing, matte yet luminous, natural finish.
