Hi Guys!
I am back with a new post today. In this post, I am going to be sharing something very different from what I usually tell you guys. Its a personal, little write up of me and my best friend, my mom. Yes, she was the first person I knew even before coming into this world and she has been my best friend ever since then. Its only offlate I realised that mum can be your best friend too.
Since my childhood, she has been a very loving and caring mother. Very giving and extremely gentle on my upbringing. I see most of my friends praising the way I have been brought up at home. Today when I talk to you about my mum as my best friend, I feel super proud to share this relationship with her first before anyone else.
I realized this when I saw her being my staunch support during testing times at home. Be it my career, my friendships, relationships I know I always have her back every time I want her around. It is the best feeling in the world to have someone like a mother to have her as a best friend for life.
Growing up as a single child at home with no cousins or other kids is very difficult especially for the parents who have to devote a certain amount of time and make sure the child gets right values, a good company and good upbringing, most importantly. She has never been too strict on me neither has she ever forced me to do anything. A protective mother but very progressive in the homefront, who has always encouraged me to study more than keeping up with the advancements on the kitchen front. I have always been a studious child and she being a mother plus bestie, has always encouraged me to study well and do the best of my abilities in exams.
On growing up, I proposed this idea of taking up blogging as a career to my parents. Being skeptic of the successful outcomes of this choice, they were not sure if I could take it for lifelong successfully but my mother was the first one to invest faith in my decision. She still calls me as a blogger at home sometimes which makes me so happy and proud to be able to please her.
She is my best friend, my date buddy. Be it after exam dates, going for Chilli Garlic Noodle lunches with her to our favourite restaurant, we have done it all together. Shopping in Zara or Forever 21, she is the one I look for and her opinions while picking up clothes, shoes, accessories matter the most to me. I am so proud of the fact that she has braced the advancements and changes in the mother-daughter relationships of today, so seamlessly.
Supporting my friendships and relationships, she is the one who convinces dad in most of the cases. So there is no other reason left, why she shouldnt be called my best friend for life.
